“I went to Einstein’s before I was driving out of town and the staff was extremely fast and efficient. CJ took the the time to make sure my tires were exactly the right pressure and even went the extra mile to check one tire that had been giving me some problems, he made my experience even more awesome! I-84 Meridian Road to Rive Mile Construction Update
Drivers can soon expect to see increased construction activity on I-84. In early February, a new traffic pattern will be put back in place on I-84 between Meridian and Five Mile roads. The changes include a crossover and restricting I-84 to three lanes in each direction from the Meridian to Wye interchanges.
The crossover traffic pattern will be in place for several months as crews rebuild the outside lanes and shoulders from Meridian to Five Mile. The traffic pattern will change in the summer as work progresses.
Click here for a map of the new traffic pattern.
Work on the new Meridian Interchange will also continue through the end of the year. Nighttime lane restrictions will be in place on I-84 and Meridian Road starting at 10 pm, and intermittent overnight ramp closures will occur during paving activities.
ITD advises drivers to plan extra time when traveling on I-84 and prepare for delays. Remember to leave early, slow down and pay attention in the work zone.
The I-84, Meridian Interchange project and I-84 Meridian to Five Mile project will be completed in late 2015. Learn more and sign up for email construction updates at www.itd.idaho.gov/MeridianInterchange.
